Geoffrey Rutledge: Quotes & Reviews

What are folks saying about Geoffrey Rutledge?

Geoffrey Rutledge's Big Top is big stuff. The 12 track ensemble is a fresh, free-spirited romp with enough good cheery feelings to make grins happen. The glue that binds this fine montage is Rutledge's seemingly open nature and passion for the product. One gets the sense this fellow really loves what he is doing. A rich powerful and lovely experience, easy on the ears and warm in the heart.
Greg Archer, Arts Editor, Good Times, Santa Cruz

Geoffrey Rutledge comes from the California coastal town of Santa Cruz, an area full of talented artists and singers. He reminds me of the great singer-songwriters prevalent in the late 70's such as James Taylor, B.W. Stevenson and Jesse Winchester. In this day and age, you have not only to be a good songwriter, you have to have a great voice as well. Rutledge qualifies in both departments. His voice is smooth and expressive and his arrangements are varied and always interesting. His songs have been steadily growing on me. Give this newcomer a listen and allow his warm tender songs to grow on you too.
Bill Frater, Freight Train Boogie

Refreshingly new...great presentation.
Rod Kennedy, Founder, Kerrville Folk Festival

And what about RST?

You guys are great! I love the way your harmonies lock even down to the vibrato. So if anyone tells you that you sound like CSN, you just tell them to kiss your three part butts!
David Crosby (Crosby, Stills & Nash)

I believe in RST because they have the heart, soul and talent to do what it takes...It can happen for them.
Russ Kunkel (Producer of RST's first CD)

Having the opportunity to be on stage with RST was absolutely the highlight of my visit. They have come so far together and have melded into quite a "smash" waiting to happen. I'm privileged to have had a small taste of what they're all about.
Jimmy Joe Ruggiere (Travis Tritt Band)
